Meet the Team
At the heart of simple pleasures events is a passionate team led by founder Courtney Givens, whose 25+ years of event planning experience shape everything we do. From creative concept to flawless execution, our team brings dedication, organization, and a love for meaningful moments to every event. Get to know the people who make it all happen.
Courtney Givens, Owner
A born multi-tasker and task master, Courtney skillfully manages all of our projects and creative talent, which she dutifully tracks in her colorful notebooks with a complex color coded system only she and her French Bulldog, Cooper, can decipher.
A typical day for Courtney includes coffee with her cream, checking in with project managers, writing up an agreement for a new client, and reeling in a few new ones. When she’s not chasing down details or making a new list, Courtney is chasing her feisty French Bulldog, Fergus around the yard. Courtney loves road trips, playing with her food, high maintenance pets, vintage martini shakers, and she thinks the smell of smoked meat is sexy.
Over the past 25 years, Courtney has become a trusted asset to corporate and nonprofit clients alike. Clients like Mt. Hood Community College Foundation, Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, Rose Villa Senior Living and countless others, all of whom seem to appreciate her unique, entrepreneurial point of view. And her chocolate martinis.
Kristin Stockton, Project Manager
Kristin, a Kate Spade addict with a passion for all things glitter! Kristin is the “fluffy” one here at Simple Pleasures Events and a proud WSUV graduate {GO COUGS!}. With nearly a decade in the event planning field, where she’s known for making events POP! Her partner-in-crime is her energetic 15-year-old son, Charles, who’s a whiz in the kitchen, can solve a Rubik’s cube in under a minute, and dreams of attending Cascadia Tech Academy. When Kristin isn’t transforming the mundane into fabulousness, she’s diving deep into her love of sharks, polka dots, and—of course—shoes! But let’s be real, sharks might just be her spirit animal.
